Health testing
Health Testing & Genetic Screening
Health testing starts well before puppies are born. Every litter begins with health-tested parent dogs and close veterinary care, so the puppies who come home with your family have the best possible start.
Health testing comes before every litter
Comprehensive health testing with Embark
Before we breed any dog, that dog goes through a full Embark DNA health panel, which screens for hereditary health conditions known to affect their breed lines. As a result, we can make informed, responsible breeding decisions, and we lower the chance of passing a genetic health issue to the puppies.
Reproductive Specialist Veterinary Care
A reproductive specialist veterinarian cares for our parent dogs throughout the breeding process, from pre-breeding exams to ultrasounds and prenatal care during pregnancy. Because of that oversight, we monitor mom and puppies closely from the very beginning.
Health testing checklist for every puppy
- Full veterinary check-up
- First round of age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming
- Microchip
- Vet records that go home with your puppy
- Early socialization: new sounds, car rides, different surfaces, children, new places, and daily handling
Health testing questions
Are the parent dogs health tested?
Yes. Every parent dog has a full Embark DNA health panel before breeding, and a reproductive specialist veterinarian cares for each one throughout the breeding process.
Do puppies see a vet before going home?
Yes. Every puppy gets a full vet check, a first round of vaccinations and deworming, and a microchip. Then we send the vet records home with your puppy.
What breeds do you raise?
We raise Havapoo, Goldendoodle, and Mini Goldendoodle puppies, and we raise all of them inside our home in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
Where are the puppies raised?
In our home in Eagle Mountain, Utah, not a kennel. Because of that, every puppy grows up around daily handling, household sounds, and family life from day one.
